MNIPC Evening Prayer at St. Mary’s: Wednesday, March 17th at 7:00 pm we will host our sisters and brothers from our neighboring Harlem Episcopal congregations at Evening Prayer and a light fellowship meal following. We have invited a special guest preacher, Imam Mohammad Sherzad, and we will discuss the current situation in Afghanistan with Daivd Wildman, Executive Secretary for Human Rights and Racial Justice of the United Methodist Church. Harlem African Burial Ground: Senate Hearing March 19, 2:00 – 4:00 pm, Elmendorf Reformed Church, 171 East 121st Street. This is for official governmental records, the MTA and DOT are mandated to be at this hearing. Please come and make our voices heard!

Columbia Security Guards: This week Columbia agreed to negotiate with the security guards so the vigil this week is cancelled. Thank you for your prayers and support.
Time to Stand Up and Be Counted: the 2010 Census form will be mailed to you this week. It is important for our community that all people are counted. Please tell your friends, family members and neighbors to look for the census form and fill it out and return it. Thank you so much for your help!
Eccelsia: Marcus Garvey Park: Sundays at 2:00 pm. St. Mary’s is the lead congregation on the first and third Sunday each month. Also: St. Mary’s Homeless Street Outreach: Saturdays, 12 noon preparation and 2:00 pm street outreach. Please let us know if you can help and please keep the Homeless Street Outreach in your prayers. HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE:
Palm Sunday: March 28th, 10:00 am Liturgy of the Palms and bagpipe procession around the neighborhood.
Tenebrae: Wednesday, March 31st, 6:30 pm, A meditative service of readings and prayers to begin the Tridium.
Maundy Thursday: April 1st, 6:30 pm, Footwashing and Holy Communion, followed by stripping the Altar and an Agape meal in the Rectory.
Good Friday: April 2nd, 12 noon – 3:00 pm, A service remembering the death of Jesus on the Cross.
Holy Saturday: April 3rd, 12 noon: A brief service in the Garden.
Easter Sunday, the Day of Resurrection: April 4th, 6:00 am Sunrise Vigil, 8:00 am and 10:00 am Holy Baptism and Communion.
