The Harlem African Burial Ground Task Force will meet on Thursday, April 29th at 4:00 pm at the Elmendorf Reformed Church, 171 E. 121st St. Help save Harlem’s history!!
Eastertide Tuesdays: Pray and Bible Study – During Eastertide we will gather on Tuesday evenings for prayer and Bible Study. We will begin with prayers for peace at 6:30 pm and follow with an “African Bible Study” All are invited as we seek to follow the new light in our lives given to us in our savior Jesus.
Eccelsia: Marcus Garvey Park: Sundays at 2:00 pm. St. Mary’s is the lead congregation on the first and third Sunday each month. Also: St. Mary’s Homeless Street Outreach: Saturdays, 12 noon preparation and 2:00 pm street outreach. Please let us know if you can help and please keep the Homeless Street Outreach in your prayers. The Episcopal Church Women’s Prayer Committee will meet May 9th, following the 10:00 am service. The Rev. Chloe A. Breyer will lead the session. All women are invited.
Celebrate the legacy of Thurgood Marshall: Justice Marshall’s name was added to the calendar of saints, “Holy Men and Holy Women” this year, for May 17th the anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education. There will be a celebration on May 16th at 4:00 pm at St. Philip’s Church, 204 W. 134th St. Mr. Benjamin Jealous, President of the NAACP (and a member of St. Mary’s) will be the speaker.
