Good Morning and Welcome to St. Mary’s Church!!

Welcome this morning to our celebrant and preacher the Rev. Gordon Duggins. It is always great to have Fr. Duggins back with us at St. Mary’s Church to share his ministry with us.

The Episcopal Church Women will meet today following the 10:00 am service. Please see the Episcopal Church Women’s coordinator, Ms. Celia Braxton, for more information.

Club St. Mary’s presents: “2010 End-of-Summer Teen Jam” August 28th 4:00 – 7:00 pm, all teens 12-17 welcome! Admission $3.00. Look Sharp! Dwayne Lavender will award best-dressed prizes! Please see Celia Braxton for how you can help.

During the Summer, please do not forget to bring your pledge to the Church if you are going to be out of town. St. Mary’s Church depends on the generous contributions of our members to keep our programs operating. Thank you and have a safe and relaxing summer!

Eccelsia: Marcus Garvey Park: Sundays at 2:00 pm. St. Mary’s is the lead congregation on the first and third Sunday each month. Sunday, September 5 th we will need some volunteers following the service to help us put together the meals. Also: St. Mary’s Homeless Street Outreach: Saturdays, 12 noon preparation and 2:00 pm street outreach. Please let us know if you can help and please keep the Homeless Street Outreach in your prayers. We need more volunteers for this important outreach ministry of the parish. Thank you!!

Movies at St. Mary’s: St. Mary’s and Ecclesia Ministries will show movies at 6:00 pm on Fridays, and once a month host and open mic cabaret. Come for the fellowship, the popcorn and the FUN!! Also, we need volunteers to help set up and clean up after the movies, so please let Lisa Slocum know if you can help out. Thanks!! Episcopal Church Women’s Prayer Committee will meet Sunday, September 12th following the 10:00 am service. All women are invited to pray with us and deepen our relationship in God’s love.

VOTE VOTE VOTE: Primary Election Day in New York City: September 14th. The polls are open from 6:00 am until 9:00 pm. Go vote and represent our community.

Preaching schedule for this month: August 29: Rev. Chloe Breyer; September 5: Rev. Kooperkamp. Rev. Kooperkamp will be out of town on vacation August 16- 30.
