of the Attack of Sept. 11, 2001 8:30 am-10:00am.
At 8:30 we will join the 26th NYCPD Precinct for
remembrance, then ring the Church bell until 10:00am.

The flowers on that altar today are given to the Glory of God and in thanksgiving for the birthdays of Enita Hinkson and Jane Best yesterday.
Thanks to Ishmael Wallace for playing the piano today to lead our worship.
Eccelsia: Marcus Garvey Park: Sundays at 2:00 pm. St. Mary’s is the lead congregation on the first Sunday each month. Today, September 5 th we will need some volunteers follow-ing the service to help us put together the meals. Also: St. Mary’s Homeless Street Out-reach: Saturdays, 12 noon preparation and 2:00 pm street outreach. Please let us know if you can help and please keep the Homeless Street Outreach in your prayers. Thank you!!
Stewardship meeting: The Stewardship Committee will meet this Tuesday, September 7th at 6:30 pm. This committee is responsible for enabling the giving of our members for the support of St. Mary’s mission, to carry out the work God has for us to do. We are planning our upcoming Stewardship Campaign to reach out to the congregation. Come and be a part of this important work. Please see Patrick Harding, Stewardship chair if you can help.
During the Summer, please do not forget to bring your pledge to the Church if you are going to be out of town. St. Mary’s Church depends on the generous contributions of our members to keep our programs operating. Thank you and have a safe and relaxing summer!
Movies at St. Mary’s: St. Mary’s and Ecclesia Ministries will show movies at 6:00 pm on Fridays, and once a month host and open mic cabaret. Come for the fellowship, the popcorn and the FUN!! Also, we need volunteers to help set up and clean up after the movies, so please let Lisa Slocum know if you can help out. Thanks!! Episcopal Church Women’s Prayer Committee will meet next Sunday, September 12th following the 10:00 am service. All women are invited to pray with us and deepen our relationship in God’s love.
New York Intern Program: Next Sunday we will formally welcome our five new interns to St. Mary’s Church and commission them for their year of service. Our new inters are Dawn Bailey, Ciara Conway, Naja Muhammad, Nick McBurney and Christopher Robinson.
VOTE VOTE VOTE: Primary Election Day in New York City: September 14th. The polls are open from 6:00 am until 9:00 pm. Go vote and represent our community.
Tuesday Evening Prayer and Bible Study will resume on September 21st at 6:00 pm. This Fall we will begin a study of the Hebrew scriptures.
The next Vestry meeting is Sept. 23rd at 6:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
Music at St. Mary’s: Season Opening Concert: Sept. 26th at 3:00 pm: The Harlem Chamber Players return for a new season!! The program includes: Johann Sebastian Bach “Viola da Gamba Sonata in G Major, for Cello and Piano” Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson “Movement for String Trio” Max Bruch Pieces for Clarinet, Viola and Piano & Brahms “Sextet No. 1 in B-flat Major for Strings”

Organ Recital; September 27th at 5:00 pm, FREE, renown organist Karen Beaumont will present a free recital at St. Mary’s Church for the benefit of our members and the community.
Coalition to Preserve Community will hold a community forum about the Columbia University expansion into West Harlem on Monday, September 27th at 7:30 pm. All are invited to attend to get the latest news on how this development will effect our neighborhood and what we can do about it.
