Lights for Liberty Protest! on Friday, July 12 

6pm meet at church to go with St. Mary’s 

At Foley Square – Lafayette St/Worth St/Centre St. On July 12th, Lights for Liberty will shine a light on the horrific abuses of the administration in human detention camps. People will begin arriving at 7pm local time at locations around the nation. At five main locations, legislators, activists, and organizers will speak until 9pm. At 9pm local time, at every detention camp, and in cities, towns, and homes around America, a silent sea of candles will light up the nation. St. Mary’s Summer Camp: Registration OPEN

St. Mary’s Summer Camp will return this summer with new Director Joann Serrano beginning Monday, July 15 through Wednesday, August 14. We are recruiting public school children who have completed 2nd through 5th grade for a program of movement, academic enrichment, gardening, art and recreation. To pick up an application, please come by the parish office during office hours (Monday-Friday 10am-2pm).

Thanks to Jenny G., St. Mary’s Thrift Shop has been very successful! As we seek to expand the ministry (for example to provide free clothing to Pantry or Movie Night communities), we are seeking creative thinkers and helpers to plan and set up this next step! Miriam, Mark, Muhammad and Marx meets the last Sunday of each month for interfaith justice and peace activism and community. On second Thursdays, our agenda is hands-on work. Saturday Mobile Soup Kitchen every Saturday starting at 12 noon. Help prepare sandwiches and lunch bags and then distribute them to our neighbors on the street.

Metro New York Adventist Forum Led by Ms. Janet Schultz. Adventist Forum gathers on the second Saturday of the month (please check for specific dates).

RDJ Memorial Refugee Shelter
