Holy Week Schedule: Sanctuary Clean – up: Monday, April 18th at 5:30 pm.
Tenebrae: Wednesday April 20 at 6:30 pm; a meditative service of Psalms and song
Maundy Thursday: April 21 at 6:30 pm; Footwashing and Holy Communion followed by stripping the Altar and an Agape meal in the Rectory. There will be an All Night Vigil in the Garden of Repose (either in the rear section of the Church or in the Church garden, depending on the weather). Please sign up on the sheet on the back table if you wish to take part in the vigil.
Good Friday: April 22, 12 noon – 3:00 pm, remembering the Crucifixion of Jesus;
Special music by the Harlem Chamber Players: Ms. Liz Player, Mr. Carl Jackson and Mr. David Miller
Holy Saturday: April 23, 12 noon, a short, meditative service in the Garden.
Easter: April 23, *** 6:00 am, a Sunrise Vigil ***
*** 8:00 am, Holy Communion ***
*** 10:00 am, Holy Communion and Holy Baptism, followed by an Easter Egg Hunt (for all children or adults who act like children!)
Special Easter music by Ms. April Armstrong, Soprano; Mr. Nabate Iles, trumpet and St. Mary’s Choir.
*** 2:00 pm we will celebrate our third Easter with Ecclesia, our Church for the Homeless in Marcus Garvey Park
Movies at St. Mary’s: 6:00 pm on Fridays. Come for the fellowship, the popcorn and the FUN!! Also, we need volunteers to help. Thanks!! April 23: The Last Temptation of Christ
Peace of Pizza: Wednesday, April 20 at 7:30 pm following the Tenebrae service, Our theme will be: “Tell about a time in your life God was very active, even if you couldn’t see it at the time…” Peace of Pizza is a monthly gathering of St. Mary’s parishioners, friends, community members, and interns from New York Intern Program, to share pizza and other delicious food and great conversation…
Cropwalk – May 1st The annual Cropwalk will take place Sunday May 1st at 2:00 pm at Riversdie Church. St. Mary’s members have generously supported this anti-hunger program in the past. Spring Finale Concert: May 1st 3:00 pm Music at St. Mary’s and the Harlem Chamber Players conclude this season with a spectacular performance featuring music by Ravel and Faure. Mark your calendars and tell your friends!
