Over the next month St. Mary’s will be working to help the Campaign to Close Rikers to collect at least 2,027 postcards from New Yorkers across the city demanding that Mayor Adams follow the law and take steps NOW to Close Rikers on time in 2027. The postcards will be delivered en masse to City Hall on December 10th, Human Rights Day. Do your part! | Participate in Voter Registration for High School Students! Join St. Mary’s Team to register young, new voters before the coming election, and encourage those not voter-eligible to participate in civic actions. Sponsored by the League of Women Voters’/Union of Black Episcopalians’ this Youth Civic Engagement and Voter Registration Project needs people who can: attend a Team Meeting the last week of September or first week of October “flex” their weekday schedule to be available for two meetings at a Harlem public high school during October between 8am and 2:30pm.
