We pray for all our ministries and all who participate: for our worship partners, St. Martin’s & St. Luke’s Episcopal Church; for the Mail Service (Mon-Friday 10am-2pm), Welcome Place & Movie Night; for St. Mary’s vitality; for on site ministries: Alanon, AA, CHHMP Medical Clinic, Connie & Jessie Mae’s Pantry (next 1/22/25), Martial Arts, Movie Night, NA, Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC), Three and a Half Acres Yoga, and Urban Qi (tai chi & qi gong).

for everyone in our parish: 

for all affected by and first responders to the fires in Southern California, the members of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Altadena (which burned to the ground), 1/2 the Vestry plus one more parishioner of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church , a historically Black church, who lost their homes (gifts marked FIRE RELIEF welcome), St. Matthew’s Pacific Palisades who lost 2 rectories (clergy Bruce & Stephen and their families are ok), residents of the Montecedro Retirement Community, operated by Episcopal Communities and Services (ECS), who have been evacuated.

for an end to war and violence everywhere, for release of all hostages and captives, and for an end to antisemitism, Islamophobia, and every kind of oppression.
for our neighbors and partners: St. Mary’s Center, people experiencing homelessness, for all refugees, Unity Fellowship Church NYC, Forces of Nature Dance Theatre, African Services Committee, the 26th precinct, and Old Broadway Synagogue.

6-8 pm invitation to opening reception for arts presenters and colleagues from Jonathan Secor to St. Mary’s members: Urban Bush Women: Legacy, Lineage and Liberation: An Examination of Urban Bush Women’s Art-Making and Community Organizing Praxis, a special visual exhibition in the Laura and Frank Baker Gallery at the Apollo Theater (253 W 125th St) containing rare photographs, performance footage, costumes and more from the ensemble’s 40 year history. Exhibition will be open to the public starting January 13, Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11 am to 6 pm.
6 pm St. Mary’s Movie Night – 5 pm set up

A 30 minute Zoom service: join together daily in shared prayer— the foundation of our Anglican tradition and our lives as Christians.  Using the 1979 Book of Common Prayer rite II morning prayer liturgy, the service will include different leaders as officiants and feature diverse voices to offer brief daily reflections.
