It’s being held in the worship space at St. Mary’s Harlem, the beautiful and historic social justice church at 521 West 126th Street, between Amsterdam and Old Broadway. Come get in the holiday spirit with us!!

When the world feels too loud for angels to be heart — what might it take for you to listen again? This Advent season, join us as we read “The Angels of Christmas: Hearing God’s Voice in Advent” by Susan Robb, a four-week journey through the stories of Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds–ordinary people who encountered the extraordinary.
Online sessions will be held Sunday evenings at 5PM with the Rev. Kevin Booker-Kidd for our virtual Harlem family.

People are hungry
St. Mary’s congressional district (13) has over 220,000 members and neighbors enrolled in SNAP food benefits, which is currently suspended due to the government shut down. We know people in our community were already hungry, and it is getting worse.
How can you help?
Stock the Community Fridge with groceries any time.
Bring non-perishable canned goods to worship on Sunday.
Volunteer
at Welcome Place (Fridays at 2:30 pm), Movie Night (Fridays at 5 pm), Pantry (Nov. 19 and usually the 4th Wednesday each month)

The court orders provide a stopgap solution. Call your member of Congress and tell them to immediately authorize SNAP benefits and reimbursement of local food support.

Share the Project is organizing a free Thanksgiving Meal
and celebrate their 35th Anniversary Dinner of this event.
If you are interested in signing up to partake in a free Thanksgiving meal in Upstate New York, please email the parishoffice@stmarysharlem.org so you can be added to the list.
The bus will be ready for pick up outside of St. Mary’s Church on 521 W 126th Street. Please arrive and be ready for pick up by 4 pm.

Multifaith Mondays: Moral Witness to Democracy

Vigils at Columbus Circle sponsored by The Interfaith Center of New York, Union Theological Seminary, The Jewish Theological Seminary, Episcopal Diocese of New York, and T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights.
Mondays through May, from 5:30–6 pm, at USS Marine statue on the SW corner of Central Park (or the NE part of Columbus Circle)
Through prayer, song, and collective presence, we affirm the power of spiritual resilience in the face of challenges to democratic values.
These gatherings serve as a space for reflection, connection, and public witness, reminding us of the shared moral responsibility across faith traditions to uphold justice and human dignity.
