Jazz at St. Mary’s: This month we welcome an extraordinary Monday evening Jazz program: Live it up with the funky 14-piece big band, M.O.R.E. June 2, June 9, and June 16 at 6:30 pm here at St. Mary’s. All concerts are free (donations gladly accepted). Voices of the Neighborhood
Sunday, September 28 at 1 PM. A wacky and wonderful program of three World Premieres: The Green Project, The Garden Performance, and Madonna and Child, a cantata by Ishmael Wallace with words by local mothers and grandmothers. Featuring the Orpheus Duo, St. Mary’s Choir and other neighborhood performers. Free- please bring your family.

New York Internship Program
Godspeed and farewell to Annabel Kim, Yvonne Garcia, Monique Gilliam and Erik Hinderlie (as well as Jackie Matayoshi who finished earlier) as they finish the New York Intern program. As they prepare to leave, they leave with the blessing of St. Mary’s congregation, with best wishes in future service and taking up the struggle for justice. Thank you so much for all you have done for St. Mary’s and for our community. We will all miss you, but we hope to see you again soon. St. Mary’s will always be your home in NYC!
Other Special Programs
Reparations Now: Sunday, August 17, following the 10 AM service, we will have two special guests from the Diocesan Reparations Committee. Ms. Diane Pollard and Ms. Cynthia Copeland will lead members of St. Mary’s through a training module that was developed in accordance with a resolution concerning reparations for the General Convention of the Episcopal Church. Please come join us for this important training.
Manhattanville Health Fair: June 21st 10 am – 4 pm in the Sheltering Arms Park (next door to St. Mary’s Church). Come and join us as we find ways to better the health of our community. There will be a chance to learn about taking better care of yourself, activities for children and important information about how we can join together to improve the overall health of our neighborhood, especially through advocating for the re-opening of the Manhattanville Health Center. Tell your neighbors and come join us.

|Annual Meeting 2008
At the Annual Parish Meeting Sunday, March 3, 2008, we re-elected Delores Jones to serve another term as Church Warden. We also elected three new members of the Vestry; Lisa Rivers-Mazza, Thomas Sayee and Sheryl Patterson. We extend our thanks and gratitude for the service of our retiring Vestry members; Deborah Snyder-Ebron-Mitchell, Gewn Walker and Yves Ngabonziza.
We also passed a Budget for 2008 and heard reports from our important ministries of the Women’s Prayer Committee, the Food Pantry, the Choir, and the Evangelism, Education, Empowerment and Outreach Committee. Copies of the reports are on the bulletin board at the back of the church and on the back table.
