I worked at St. John’s Church during the summer of 1965 as a college student. Fr. Castle’s associate priest, the Rev. John N. Studebaker, was my brother- in-law. Both were amazing men who inspired me to enter the priesthood. On the walls of the parish hall were the words of Walter Russell Bowie’s hymn, “O Holy City seen of John” words which have had a life long influence upon my ministry. “May the souls of the faithful Rest In Peace and Rise in Glory.”

So sorry that I won’t be able to attend this service for Bob — but I want you to know that my heart is with you as you say goodbye. He’s one of a kind, and is missed, but his spirit lives on in all of us who knew him and experienced his kindness. Let’s live lives that are worthy of his ministry: full of joy and compassion, with occasional grumpiness. Blessings to you all — Angela Boatright-Spencer
