A 30 minute Zoom service: join together daily in shared prayer— the foundation of our Anglican tradition and our lives as Christians.  Using the 1979 Book of Common Prayer rite II morning prayer liturgy, the service will include different leaders as officiants and feature diverse voices to offer brief daily reflections.

People are hungry

St. Mary’s congressional district (13) has over 220,000 members and neighbors enrolled in SNAP food benefits, which is currently suspended due to the government shut down. We know people in our community were already hungry, and it is getting worse.

How can you help?

Stock the Community Fridge with groceries any time.

Bring non-perishable canned goods to worship on Sunday.

Volunteer at Welcome Place (Fridays at 2:30 pm), Movie Night (Fridays at 5 pm), Pantry (Nov. 19 and usually the 4th Wednesday each month)

Moral Witness to Democracy
Weekly on Mondays
Northeast corner of Central Park

Mondays through May, from 5:30–6 pm, at USS Marine statue on the SW corner of Central Park (or the NE part of Columbus Circle)

Through prayer, song, and collective presence, we affirm the power of spiritual resilience in the face of challenges to democratic values.

These gatherings serve as a space for reflection, connection, and public witness, reminding us of the shared moral responsibility across faith traditions to uphold justice and human dignity.

Vigils at Columbus Circle sponsored by The Interfaith Center of New York, Union Theological Seminary, The Jewish Theological Seminary, Episcopal Diocese of New York, and T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights.

The Welcome Place
Fridays 2:30 pm to 5 pm

In the Undercroft
The “Welcome Place” is for anyone in our community looking for respite, though we are particularly reaching out to people experiencing homelessness.

The goal of the Welcome Place is to support people to find their belonging in this community whether they have been here all their lives, recently moved, or are new immigrants.

The Welcome Place offers some peace and kindness, a snack or a cold (or hot) drink; there are board games and arts and crafts for those who are interested.

The program ends with a smooth transition to Movie Night including a meal for those who choose to stay.

Volunteers support conversation for those who desire it, and provide information about and referrals to St. Mary’s based programs (Mail Service, CHHMP Clinic, 12 Step programs, or monthly pantry), or partner organizations (like African Services Committee).
