Raising My Voice-KIN: Story Telling and Leadership Training at St. Mary’s


Raising My Voice-KIN is a story telling and leadership initiative designed for men and women who have a member of their family that is incarcerated or recently released that have experienced first-hand the impact of incarceration and reentry and want to share their story. 

Training will be held on Saturday afternoons on the following dates:

  • August 3: peer lunch 12-1pm, training 1-3pm
  • August 10: peer lunch 12-1pm, training 1-3pm
  • August 17: peer lunch 12-1pm, training 1-3pm
  • August 24: peer lunch 12-1pm, training 1-3pm
  • August 31: Graduation!

There is a $30 stipend per session, metro cards and lunch provided.

  • If law enforcement/ICE comes to St. Mary’s with questions about any individual, family or group, politely decline to share information and alert the Parish Office immediately.
  • Si la policia/ ICE llega a St. Mary’s con preguntas sobre cualquier individuo, familia o grupo, no comparta informacion e inmediatamente alerte a la Oficinal Parroquial.
  • If law enforcement/ICE comes to St. Mary’s with a warrant, please contact the Rector (through the Parish Office) immediately so that she may review the document.
  • Si la policia/ICE llega a St. Mary’s con una orden judicial, por favor contacte a la Rectora ( a traces de la Oficina Paroquial) inmediatamente para que ella pueda revisar el documento.
